We focus on nurturing each student’s physical and mental health by striving to create a safe, positive, and tight-knit team of students, families, and staff.”
It’s important to us that all members of our team share our vision, our purpose and the philosophy that encompasses everything we do both in and outside of our classrooms. This is a vision that is shared and demonstrated by the entire staff at EDC - and it is the driving force behind every interaction with our students and their families. We strive to employ quality instructors, provide a clean and safe facility, and hold workable class sizes to ensure proper training to all students. We are passionate about providing education to all students - ranging from recreational, to competitive, to those looking to dance at a collegiate or professional level
History
Eagle Dance Center was founded by Shannon Eagle in 1995, with the goal of sharing the love of dance and providing quality instruction to all levels of students. As of Summer 2021, Eagle Dance Center is under new ownership and direction of Anna Matney. Following in Shannon’s footsteps, Eagle Dance Center continues to encompass the core values that were already instilled by Shannon under her 25 years of direction.
Taking Dance to the Next Level
EDC Alum have continued on to major in dance at highly selective collegiate dance programs, perform with collegiate level dance teams, work with professional cheer conventions, become high school dance/cheer team advisors, and even become instructors and studio directors themselves.
Competitive Teams
Many of our students compete with our EDC Competition Dance Team. These students take their technique and skills, and apply them to competitive level choreography to take to the stage on the traveling circuit. Our dancers regularly qualify for Regional and National competitions - bringing home many awards and National Titles.
